SYDNEY – Chinesse gold medalist, Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei
finally paid their hard work for this week tournament, The Star Australian Badminton Open 2014. After play for 43 minutes, they win
21-15 21-9 against Japanesse pair Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi.
This weekseems very tight for this pair. From the first
round match until the semifinals, Zhao/Tian can’t avoid to play rubber game
with duration above 60 minutes each. “The weather is quiet cold, and it made
the shuttlecock flies slowly which mean that we have to play longer to deal
with the situation” said Tian Qing after beat Danish pair Juhl/Pedersen to get
the final ticket.
From the first game, chinesse pair seems very obsessed with
the title. They play well eventhough the first game is not as easy as they
hope. It is very tight game until it’s reaching 9-9. However both pairs have
unbeatable defense, and it made Tian/Zhao more agressive with their smash until
they ends the game 21-15 with Matsutomo’s drive which is out of the court.
In the second game, this Asian Game 2010 gold medalist,
comes with very big spirit to win. The move very fast and make many offense
combination which are made Japanesse pair flustered. It made 11-5 leading score
for interval. Moreover, Misaki/Ayaka’s offense seems not working very well. They
play statically and sometimes made mistakes while the chinesse seems really
want to end this game faster. This game finally end and it’s become another
women doubles super series for Tian/Zhao.
This is their second
title in two-weeks non stop tournament. One week before, they win the premier superseries title in Indonesia
without feels the heat of the court because another Chinesse pair, Ma Jin/Tang
Yuanting choose to walkover in the final match. (nao)
