BUSAN I'M IN LOVE : Suddenly miss my high school

First of all i want to say SORRY!!!
I promise to finish my story about my exchange experience by the end of March but now its already the beginning of May ㅠ.ㅠ
I need to do so many task and report about business development every week thats why all of my nights are dedicated to prepare the weekly report. Sorry again!!

So...maybe you guys wonder what did i Busan for 6 weeks? Ehmm...

During my exchange period i had to finish my project in AIESEC Pusan National University. The project name is SHARE OUR SIGHT. Basically the project is about cultural exchange. I taught the Korean students about cultural worldwide and about Indonesian culture. I didn't taught at their regular class, but i taught them for their Winter English Class. I had to teach 4 schools and each school consist of 15-30 students in one class.

Every 2 or 3 days i went to the school with another Organizing Committee (OC) from AIESEC PNU so i was not alone! I got chance to visit 4 schools (2 times visitation for each) which is Namcheon Middle School, Hwamyeong High School, Gwamyeong High School and Nam Il High School. Namcheon and Hwamyeong are public school for all genders but Gwamyeong and Nam Il is only for male  students, i was waiting to come to these school for the first time i arrived. LOL! Each school has their own characteristic of students and also the OCs. For me i need some time to adapt their condition in the first day but i didn't take too long to adapt. I tried my best to get close with the students and tried to be their friends.

For me i have to choose which one is my favorite school, i will choose.....uhm i cant choose! They have their own uniqueness and i love all of them. They made me remind of my senior and junior high school time. Hows time flies so fast! But if i have to choose, my favorite students are from Nam Il High School! Why? All of them are very very friendly eventhough i'm a girl and they are boys. We even played a games in the last day and gave punishment to the loser. I was one of the loser and i got many "teng-ko" on my head. Tengko is like a small knock on the forehead but they're stamina is so damn high even my forehead became very red after that! Nam Il students maybe are the funniest one but all of the school has their own character and i love all of them. Thankful for having them as my students! I hope later i can meet you guys again!

Besides teaching, i also have to do the Global Village event. Its an event where the Exchange participant show their own culture by the expo or display of booth. In Indonesian booth, we (me and Mega) provide our traditional clothes, Indonesian food & drink (Bakwan & Wedang Jahe), photo booth with Indonesian culture things and so on. We even sang 2 Indonesian songs which is Indonesia Pusaka & Yamko Rambe Yamko from Papua. For the global village, all students for all schools gather together in a place! Its around more than 100 students! So full! And i was so proud at that time because i could show them my cultures, i hope they will remember my country & culture!

So the rest of the days in Busan i spent it by travelling! Yuhuwww!! Usually i went to travel spots with my Roommates, Mega and also Mindy. But sometimes i just go with Mindy or Mindy and Amir hahaha. We went to so many places in Busan and all of them are beautiful and peaceful, very different with Jakarta which is always crowded especially in rush hour. But every time we went out, we always end at a coffee shop and just talking and chatting together wasting our time. Maybe we already visit all of the coffee shop in Busan (A Twosome Place, Paris Baguette, EDIYA, Noh's Coffee, Pain the France, HOLLYS, Cafe Bene, even Starbucks and many more!). We love to visit Korean coffee shop because the atmosphere in the coffee shop are always comfortable and peaceful moreover the menus are delicious and various~

Let’s continue the story...

So, after get permission to come late, i booked flight ticket and prepare all of the documents that i need to bring.

Jan 12, 2015

3.00 pm “So, consider to our interview result, This leader using compromising style of leadership....” i was still at campus at that time to finish my final leadership presentation and exam test. I tried to focus to the subject but i always failed and sometimes always think about what going to happen tonight and tomorrow...

5.00 pm I went back to my dormitory with my father, took bath, eat last Indonesian food (Gulai Ayam) and prepare everything. I ate Indonesian food because i know that in Korean Air of course they didn’t have any Indonesian food.

6.00 pm I went to airport

7.00 pm I arrived at airport and meet my mother there. We search for the check in gate for about 1 hours. Damn stupid.

9.00 pm Its time to say good bye, it was boarding time call. Me, my mum and my dad prayed together near the check in gate and i hugged them. Even my mother going to start crying because she was very proud of me. I remember she said “I never expect that you’ll be so brave like this, going abroad for quiet long time alone. May Jesus always bless you in Korea”.

9.45 pm “Passenger of Korean Air KE 628 to Incheon  please enter the plane...”

22.30 pm I saw beautiful night view of Jakarta from above. I just hope at that time i want to see another night view of Korea (the arrival time is very early in the morning, sunrise in Korea is at 7.30)

06.00 am “in 40 minutes later, we will arrive at Incheon International Airport” said the captain.

07.00 am ...........so speechless at that time. Am i dreaming now? I’M IN KOREA NOW!!! KOREA!!! At that time i couldn't say anything except, Thanks Lord...

08.20 am “Passenger of Korean Air KE 1401 to Busan please boarding to the plane”

08.45 am I saw beautiful sunrise from above

09.40 am “Where are you? Are u already at the airport? I’m just landed.” I texted him. “Oh yes, we’re in arrival gate. Only me and a girl with yellow scarf. Find us later” he replied. Sun was shining brightly at the first time i landed in Gimhae International Airport in Busan, South Korea. Everyone who saw me, maybe could see how much i was very happy at that time. I walked out through the arrival gate and met two Korean who had been waiting for me while holding a paper written “Naomi Indartiningrum”. His name is Min-Jun Jeong and her name is Hyun-Bin Kong, both of them are my buddies. I was very happy to meet them, because if they didn’t pick me, i really don't know where to go. HAHAHAHAHA.  Anyway my buddy was very nice at the first time we met. The one is quiet handsome and the other one is very beautiful. I felt like i picked by angels.

I was so damn pale...

BUSAN I'M IN LOVE : Let me join your project, please...

As my promise before, i will start writing about my exchange experience in Busan, South Korea. You guys must be very curious, how can i get that opportunity, right? so its because of AIESEC. There is local committe in my campus and they opened an opportunity to be Indonesian Ambassador for Winter Project. Actually i just dont know what to do at that project but deep in my heart i want to get the opportunity only for travelling in Korea with cheap price. I registered my data and fill the form. I got selected as candidate after several days. After that i have to do the interview with AIESEC Member. At that time i just so damn nervous because my English is very bad and the other candidates are very fluent in English. My answer at that time was not really good because i think that i'm too childish about the answer. But, God opened His way. I got accepted into next stage. In this stage i have to search for the project, apply and having interview with the local committee in that country.

The first one that i tried to apply was in Korea. of course Korea! I sent them like more than 20 emails but there was no answer. I started to get afraid and try my luck in another country Czech Republic. The local committee was very fast respond. They asked me for interview. I tried to have interview for 3 different city in Czech. Then, i also got inteviewed by Romania's local committee.  I thought that i already did very well in interview but the result were not nice. They reject me. Then i started to feel anxious because at that time it was already at the end of November and i havent got the project yet. I realized that my English is very bad so maybe Europe country like Czech & Romania is not suitable for me. After that i tried my luck in Asian country. I started with China, Turkey and Philiphine. I didnt do any interview with the Turkish and Philipians because the schedule didnt met and they were very stubborn about schedule. They asked me to cancel my schedule just for the interview so i said no, thanks! Then i moved to China. China has a lot of local committee and so many projects. At that time i just hope to get one project everywhere! I have interview and it was very nice conversation. The result was nice too...... I got accepted! 

I'm happy to hear that but deep in my heart i was hoping for Korea. My manager told me to accept the one in China but my heart was so hard to accept. I dragged a lot. Every time the local manager asked me if i already sign the notes or not, i didnt even read the chats. I was so confused at that time. Then suddenly my manager sent me the invitation from AIESEC Pusan National University. I was so excited at that time. I tried again to register. The manager name is Stella Lee. She is very nice person and she is quiet fast respond. She asked me to have interview. I did the interview via skype. At that time i did it in my campus library. Many people looked at me so couriosly because i spoke English and my voice was very big. LOL :D

After that i prayed everyday and hope that miracle will happend. After one week passed...i got a mail

At that time i read the email at 3.00 AM and still in sleep mode. I was thinking that am i dreaming? then i just back to sleep again. In the morning, i read again about the email and realized that ITS NOT A DREAM! I GOT ACCEPTED! I GOT ACCEPTED IN KOREA!!! I jumped and roll in the bed so many times. I was so happy at that time. Oh my God! Thank you so much!

My journey didnt end at that announcement day. I still have to struggle to them to let me come late. The project start at Jan 8 but i still have exam at that time. I asked her for so many time to let me come late at Jan 13. But....this is the worst part. She didnt reply my emails about 1 week. I was so afraid that she will kicked me out of i come late. I waited and a little bit think about China's project that i got accepted. But deep in my heart, i believe Stella will let me come late...i even search for another project in Korea again. I didnt do any interview but i have to write so essay. I also got accepted with that project its in Seoul. But i dont know why my heart still waited for Stella's reply. I dont even care about the project in Seoul and seems like i avoid the manager everyday. Then after more than 1 week, i got reply and she said

OH MY GOD...
OH MY GOD...

at that time i want to scream KOREA, I'M COMING SOON!

INTRO 2015

Hey pals!

I'm just realized yesterday that i havent update this blog since 9 months ago. Its looks like a mom who is waiting for the baby and now she is going to give birth to the baby! (LOL)

Anyway! Happy new year! Happy chinese new year! Happy Soellal! and Happy new for everthing that is new. I hope in this year, we can achieve more than last year and lets have a great year!

Uhm..well..

Actually i dont know and i dont have any idea what to write now. But deep in my heart, i want to write about my Exchange Experience in Busan and my short trip in Seoul. Its going to be very long story so i will devide it into several parts because i want to tell you everything, I hope i can finish it before April and i will write all of them in English! So, wish me luck :)

Now, i will start writing
